Welcome to British Government & Politics

How democratic is Great Britain?
Which is the best form of government?
Should everyone be equal?
Is anarchism a realistic possibility?
These questions are at the heart of A Level Politics. Through study and debate, the 2 year course explores some of the fundamental issues in Political Science. Our course covers the nature of the British Political system in the lower sixth, then goes on to examine the major political ideologies in the second year of sixth form. The specification followed is that offered by Edexcel.
A Level Government & Politics is a popular choice among our sixth form students, and examination results in recent years have been particularly pleasing.
