Welcome to the Maths Department
The Mathematics Department at WGS is justifiably proud of its achievements. Indeed during our most recent inspection (March 2006) OFSTED commented highly .
"The percentage of pupils reaching level 6 and above are well above the national average in English and VERY high in mathematics and science"
"The National Curriculum points score for the core subjects is in the top five percent of all schools"
Our Department is committed to the aims and ideals of the National Curriculum. It delivers these aims and ideals via its own Schemes of Work. These schemes set out which topics will be delivered to each class, and through which medium.
