Welcome to Psychology
Psychology is the scientific study of brain and behaviour. It enables the student to discover some of the answers to some of life's most interesting questions, both about themselves, peers and others. At WGSB, it offers students the chance to study psychological theories, research, terminology, concepts studies and methods. It also offers students the chance to develop skills of analysis, interpretation and evaluation.
Our Psychology staff are Psychology specialists, who actively enjoy the subject, and seek to increase its popularity. They are keen to welcome students with a genuine interest in the subject, and who are willing to work hard.
As an Advanced level subject, psychology forms an excellent springboard for general higher education, as it offers the student the chance to excel at hard science and maths, whilst also paying attention to valuable skills such as functioning as a team member and manipulation of data.
