Welcome to the Religious Studies Department
We are constantly being told that we live in a secular age, but at the start of the 21st Century, religion could hardly be more important.
Young people in particular are fascinated by fundamental questions of religion and morality such as:
Is there a God?
How do we know what is right or wrong?
Is there life after death?
Is Christianity true?
What do Muslims believe?
The RS department encourages pupils to address questions of this nature in the context of social and ethical beliefs, customs and practices.
Religion today is far more than just church going, much of the surge in 'new age wisdom' reflects a search for spiritual truth.
