Catchment Area

There are currently 1040 boys at Wirral Grammar School, an ideal size in terms of ensuring that each boy is known as an individual while at the same time being large enough to provide a wide range of courses and additional extra-curricular activities.

Pupils come to us from all areas of the Wirral. 60% come from within the former 'catchment area' of Bebington, Eastham and surrounding area. the remaining 40% attend from the rest of the Wirral, South Cheshire and North Wales.

We are continuing to look and organise bus services for boys attending from beyond Wirral.

In the face of falling school rolls, regionally and nationally, Wirral Grammar School remains a very popular choice, and we can admit up to 152 boys into each year group.
