School News & FeaturesSinging, Music and Dancing from ArgentinaPosted on: 08.02.2012 On Tuesday 31st January 90 students and staff from St Andrews School Buenos Aires made a musical visit to Wirral Grammar Boys. The school’s choir entertained an afternoon audience with a varied repertoire that included works by Vivaldi, William Byrd and James Taylor. WGSBs own concert band under the baton of Mal Peters then performed popular melodies including Queen’s ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’ that had students from South America and England breaking into spontaneous dancing! Students from St Andrew’s concert band and the jazz combo gave us traditional Tango music from Buenos Aires as well as music by Santana and Herbie Hancock. |
