Music Competition Winners

Congratulations to Michael Cearns (L62), Matthew Lochhead (11SPA) and Jamie Shorrock (8KC) for winning their sections of the annual WGSB music competition. Now in its twelfth year, 90 boys competed in the preliminary round before 15 competitors in each of the three age categories (years 7-9, years 10&11 and sixth form) battled it out in the final. The adjudicator, Professor Stephen Pratt, is the Director of Music at Liverpool Hope University. After judging and awarding the prizes (sponsored by the Co-operative group), he immediately offered a place at his University to all the sixth form finalists! Paul Thomas
