School News & FeaturesScience OlympicsPosted on: 06.07.2009 On Monday 6th July Kieran Cook, Nick Harvey & Chris Hatter represented the school at the Grand Final of the Greater Merseyside & Cheshire Science Olympics organised by Aim Higher. The final followed a convincing win in the Wirral heat in February, and the boys maintained their high standard finishing third (out of 12 teams) after completing a series of events which included building a water wheel, a rocket, a device to record time and a balloon powered device that carried coins along a piece of string. The boys worked exceptionally well as a team and their behaviour was excellent throughout the event. They have received prizes for their efforts and we have been awarded a shield which will be placed in the school trophy cabinet. |
