High School Musical Coming Soon

The 2009 school production will be ' High School Musical '. The Schools' Drama Society has acquired an enviable reputation for the professional quality of its musical productions in recent years, as anyone who has seen 'Les Miserables', 'Grease', 'Oliver' or the 2008 production of 'Little Shop of Horrors' can testify. 2009 will be no exception and rehearsals are well underway with performances planned for the end of the Spring Term. High School Musical has been described by some as a modern adaptation of Romeo & Juliet. It is a story about two high school juniors from rival 'cliques': Troy Bolton, captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez, a shy transfer student. Together they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical and, as a result, divide the school.
