Winners at Wirral International Schools Awards 2009

Schools from across the Borough have been rewarded by local businesses for their international awareness and appreciation of different cultures and customs.

The Wirral International School Awards were held at The Lauries Centre in Birkenhead on 30th June 2009, and recognised those schools that have shown excellence in categories such as languages, international events, global citizenship and enterprise capability.

Over one hundred people attended the ceremony, including The Mayor of Wirral, Cllr Andrew Hodson, elected members, Steve Maddox, Chief Executive of Wirral Council, headteachers, teachers, pupils and parents as each school delivered a presentation to illustrate their award application.

Wirral Grammar Boys won the following awards:

         The Enterprise Challenge Award (awarded by Mike Smith of Wirralbiz)
