Year 8 Birkenhead 7's Champions!

On Tuesday 9th March the Year 8 rugby sevens squad took part in the annual Birkenhead Rugby 7's competition. Under the guidance of Mr McKibbin and Mr McKinney, the team went through the early pool stages unbeaten playing some exciting rugby throghout.

The commitment and skill levels continued into the knockout stages of the competition with a quarter final win over St Ambrose 12-0. A tougher semi-final saw the lads defeat Stockport Grammar School 15-10 meaning that a place in the final was secured. Confirmation that our team were the best in the competition became clear as the boys ran out 31-12 winners against a good St Edwards College side.
