UP 'N' UNDER....Tickets now on Sale!

5th, 7th & 10th July 2010 at 7.30pm in the Boys' School Hall.

Last summer the Drama Society revived the tradition of the 'Summer Production' and presented, to enormous acclaim, John Godber's 'Bouncers'. This year we are presenting the same playwright's 'Up 'n' Under'!

When Rugby League obsessive Arthur Hoyle bets his savings on the team from the Wheatsheaf Arms, a squad with a less than impressive reputation for losing every single match they have ever played, nothing short of a miracle can help. Arthur has to turn the unwilling team into the best squad north of the Humber as they prepare to face their arch rivals, the Cobbler's Arms. But help is at hand in the form of a gym instructor who may just have what it takes to prepare the boys for the match of their lives.

As with 'Bouncers', this is a richly comic play which has attracted many theatrical awards. It culminates in the match itself which features the same cast playing BOTH teams!

This will be a fantastic Summer's evening entertainment, performed to the Drama Society's usual professional standards. It will appeal to everyone, whether they are Rugby League fans or not. The cost of a ticket is £5 and can be purchased from the general office (cash or cheque). Unfortunately we are unable to accept credit or debit card bookings over the telephone.

Please note however, that the content of the play makes it unsuitable for under 15's.

So, come and cheer the lads (and lass) as they play the game of their lives.
