Sports & Activities

The school is proud of its excellent reputation for success in competitive sport which has been gained over many years.

A wide variety of competitive games are on offer to the boys. We have an extensive fixture list and, during the Autumn and Spring terms, there are fixtures virtually every Saturday.

The school also presents the boys with opportunities to visit other countries as part of a sports tour, enjoy outdoor activities in the UK and take part in other visits to places of interest in in the UK and beyond

Rugby Union

When the school was founded in 1931, rugby union was established as the school's main winter sporting activity and that remains the case to this very day.

Our school has an extensive fixture list, and during the Autumn and Spring terms there are fixtures virtually every Saturday, with up to 10 teams in action at any one time!

Many of our boys (past and present) have gone on to win honours at county and international level.
