Students at Wirral Grammar School for Boys (WGSB) are celebrating a superb set of GCSE results this year with strong performances across all subject areas.
Headteacher Simon Ascroft commented, “Our Year 11 students have demonstrated remarkable perseverance and commitment throughout their time with us. These results are a testament to their ability and determination, especially in the face of significant disruption to their learning in the first couple of years here at WGSB.”
He continued, “I’m incredibly proud of every student, their families, and our committed staff who have supported them every step of the way.”
With a record number of students—many from other schools—now preparing to join the school’s sixth form WGSB6, Head of Faculty Daniel Ingram added, “This year group has been a joy to teach. Their ambition, camaraderie, and positive attitude have been truly inspiring. We’re really pleased that so many will continue their journey with us and that so many more are joining us for the next 2 years. Congratulations to all!”
