At WGS6, we work closely with every student to ensure their A Level programme reflects their strengths, interests, and ambitions—setting the foundation for success at university and beyond.
All WGS6 students study three A-levels and a number undertake an additional Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

While priority is given to our current students, we warmly invite applications from external candidates (both male and female) and are proud to welcome a number of new starters each year.

As a guide, students typically enter the Sixth Form with a minimum of 6 GCSE grades at 9-5, or the equivalent, including English and Mathematics. Our prime concern is for students to embark on courses that are appropriate for their ability. A grade 6 or 7 is considered a solid starting point to continue a subject to A level. All requests for admission to sixth form are considered on an individual basis.
All WGS6 places will be confirmed on results day and external applicants are invited to attend with evidence of their examination results.
