Whether you have already applied to our Sixth Form or are still considering your options, our Meet The Team event is an opportunity to learn more about what we offer and the people who will support you throughout your Sixth Form journey.
At this event, you will have the chance to meet members of the Sixth Form leadership and support team, ask questions, and gain a clearer understanding of our courses, expectations, and enrichment opportunities. We will talk through what life is like in our Sixth Form, how we support academic success and personal development, and what you can expect as a member of our community.
This event is designed to be informal and welcoming. You are encouraged to bring questions about subjects, applications, student life, or future pathways. Parents and carers are also welcome to attend.

The subjects you select will shape your university options, career pathways, and personal development. That’s why it’s essential to choose a Sixth Form that offers not only excellent teaching and a broad range of courses, but also the guidance and support to help you make informed choices.
At WGSB6, we work closely with every student to ensure their A Level programme reflects their strengths, interests, and ambitions—setting the foundation for success at university and beyond.
All WGSB6 students study three A-levels and a number undertake an additional Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
Further details of our expectations of WGSB6 students can be found in our WGSB6 Handbook.
While priority is given to our current students, we warmly invite applications from external candidates and are proud to welcome a number of new starters each year.
If you’re considering joining us, we’d love to hear from you. Please register your interest using the Expression of Interest Form above.
To get a real feel for life at WGSB6, we encourage you to contact us at WGSB6Admissions@wirralgrammarboys.com to arrange a personalised tour of our facilities and meet some of our students and teachers. It’s the perfect way to discover what makes our Sixth Form such a special place to learn and grow.
As a guide, students typically enter the Sixth Form with a minimum of 6 GCSE grades at 9-5, or the equivalent, including English and Mathematics. Our prime concern is for students to embark on courses that are appropriate for their ability. A grade 6 or 7 is considered a solid starting point to continue a subject to A level. All requests for admission to sixth form are considered on an individual basis.
All WGSB6 places will be confirmed on results day and external applicants are invited to attend with evidence of their examination results.
We hope you will consider joining our community and look forward to meeting you!
Your future matters to us. Our Sixth Form has a proven track record of helping students secure places at top universities across the UK and beyond, including Russell Group institutions.

Your ambition is our priority. Whatever your goal, we’ll help you get there.
