Examinations

The examinations period can be a stressful time for students and parents, and it is important that all those involved are as well informed as possible.

Here at Wirral Grammar School for Boys, we make every effort to ensure that candidates receive the best possible preparation for their examinations, that the administrative arrangements run smoothly, and that the examinations are conducted in a way that will cause as little stress as possible and help students achieve their best. Mock examinations are run to the same standards and rules as public examinations in order to familiarise the students with the examination process beforehand.

Please ensure that you are familiar with the Wirral Grammar School for Boys Examinations Regulations booklet. This has been emailed to your son’s school email address.

Results

Pupils are reminded that results should be collected in person from 8.00am onwards on this day and can only be handed to the student.

Please note that results cannot be issued over the telephone or via email. In the event that your son is away from home, in another part of the country, results can be posted to him.  A large A4, stamp-addressed envelope will need to be left with the Examinations Manager beforehand.

Results will only be handed to another person provided written authority has been passed to Mr Hughes (Examinations Manager) using the proforma. This may be brought in on the results day by the person authorised to collect them on behalf of the candidate.
