SUPERB EFFORT FROM WGSB STUDENTS
43% Grade 9-7 84% Grades 9-5 93% Grades 9-4
Students at Wirral Grammar School for Boys are celebrating after receiving their GCSE grades today.
Superb achievements from students across every subject reflects the effort, ambition and determination of all students. The support offered by the boys to their peers, in addition to the care and attention provided by school staff, families and the wider community have all had a positive impact on the grades awarded.
Headteacher Simon Ascroft said “Nationally, this cohort of students have faced the same tough challenges as the previous year group and every Year 11 student across the country deserves great praise. At WGSB it is thanks to the students’ hard work and aptitude plus the support given to them by their families and our incredible staff team that they have achieved these splendid results. Well done!”.
Head of Year 11, Adam Wallker echoed the compliments, adding “It is truly rewarding to see the boys achieve these results after their industry across the year. Year 11, the Class of ’23 have been a tremendous group of students to work with and seeing so many return to our sixth form WGSB6 is fantastic”.
Congratulations to all our students and good luck as you begin your new courses in September!
